Cretan dates stuffed with cheese and honey

24 large dates
200 gr low-fat cheese
2 tablespoons honey
150 gr grated almonds
a pinch of cinnamon
We slice the dates along one side.  
We mix the cheese, honey and cinnamon into a bowl. We mix until it becomes solid.  
We stuff the dates with the mixture and we press them slightly. Then, we roll them over the almonds. They are served on a tray.
Note: You can add some grated orange peel or vanilla into the stuffing mixture. Whatever you choose, let the mixture rest for at least half an hour, so that all the aromas are released.
